Shared Reading = Shared Power
Working to create a world where every child has the relationships and resources to learn and thrive.
We envision a world where every child has the relationships and resources to learn and thrive.

We want to establish Reach Out and Read as an essential component of pediatric care.
Our updated vision, mission, and values provide a framework for this vital work.
We aim to create a world where every family uses shared reading to build the bonds needed for their children’s health and future. We invite you to join us on this revolutionary journey, working together to change the lives of children, families, and communities.

Clinicians trained in our program give books to children and provide developmental guidance to parents and caregivers at their children's routine well-child visits.
In these moments, clinicians can learn about developmental milestones and the child/caregiver relationship through the simple act of spending time with the family. -
We are fortunate to work with many partners who share in our vision that all families should have the tools and information they need to make reading aloud a daily routine – so that every child, everywhere has a foundation for success.
We rely on partnerships to help spread the word of our important work in early literacy and child development and to reach as many families in our Alabama communities as possible.
Introduce your brand
Take a minute to write an introduction that is short, sweet, and to the point. If you sell something, use this space to describe it in detail and tell us why we should make a purchase. Tap into your creativity. You’ve got this.
